You have won a free iPod

Winning is great, especially when you win stuff for not doing much, perhaps just spending that buck on a lottery ticket, or surfing on to a random website. But are winning worth it?

Harper family's old home and new home. Old one looks better than 50% of homes in my hood“Of course they are, you get something for minimal effort!” Perhaps so, but are you that much better off. Remember that stunt we had two weeks ago, about that family that had the house hooked up on “Extreme Makeover” TV Show. You don’t? Here is a link. Basically a family, had a free huge mansion given to them and they mismanaged it and had to declare bankruptcy. Some will claim, that you can’t give some poor shmoes a huge house, because they wont have monies to pay the utilities and taxes and all associated costs with having a huge house. Well, ABC covered all that, they had funds set up to cover all that. Anywho, its not a new discovery, that you can’t give a poor person something extravagant, and expect them to be successful at everything now.  As once, a wise main said  “Give A Man A Fish, Feed Him For A Day. Teach A Man To Fish, Feed Him For A Lifetime” - Lao Tzu.

Free XboX ad, Don’t Click Here, you will not win JackSo thus comes my point that winnings are cool, and most of them if not all involve someone getting a lump sum of money, or something of a high value. Now check out this idea: How about you win a job! Yes, a job! Maybe not a job that pays much more, or boosts you up the management level. A job that can handle, but in a proven, great environment. For instance let’s assume it’s Google. Never worked there, and probably never will, but I see int he rating that it comes on top as one of the greatest environment’s to work in. So if you are accountant at some mediocre firm, why not win something amongst the line of being an accountant at a great firm. This way, people wont get that initial shock, and they work for their reward. So if you are a crappy worker with crappy work ethics, you probably do not deserve any winnings anyways and this way you will have only yourself to blame for ruining something great.

Sounds kind of cool huh? I would definitely love to win a great job rather than million dollars of which half will be taken away in taxes and the other half I’ll spend on candy.
